This scheme was to provide 557 student housing units, a retail/cafe unit and car parking. This comprised of an 8 storey Reinforced Concrete structure and a basement utilised for underground parking. This was a traditional Falsowork scheme, but due to the critial fast track programme and high degree of tolerances as dictated by the specification, detailed planning and methodology was carried out. This resulted in working concurrently on all 3 blocks, utilising the 2 tower cranes to their optimum. This successfully resulted in completion of our works several weeks ahead of the contract programme on all 3 blocks, which assisted in the release of areas early for following trades and subsequently completion of the scheme in its entirety within the contract programme.
